A three-year-old boy was mauled by a crocodile on Saturday evening at Ralayo beach in Rarieda sub-county.
The boy identified as Warren Otieno had followed his mother to the lakeshore when he was attacked.
According to his father Samuel Odhiambo, the crocodile attacked and mauled the child as the mother watched helplessly.
Ralayo beach vice-chair Peter Okeyo said a search is underway to retrieve the body.
