The death toll from a road accident in Siaya on Tuesday has risen to six.
The accident that occured along the Bondo-Ndori road at Ralin’go in Rarieda sub-county involved a matatu and a truck.
According to eyewitnesses, the vehicles were moving in opposite directions before colliding head-on.
Four people, including a three-year-old child died on the spot while two others died while undergoing treatment at the Bondo Sub-County hospital.

According to North Ramba assistant chief Maurice Omondi, the lorry was heading towards Kisumu before it tried to overtake another vehicle, hitting an oncoming matatu.
The matatu had more than eight passengers on board.
Confirming the incident to The Standard, Rarieda Sub-County Police boss Evelyn Cherotich said that several occupants in the matatu sustained injuries.
“The bodies of the victims have been moved to Bondo sub-county hospital mortuary while the vehicles towed to Bondo Police Station awaiting inspection,” said Cherotich.
