President William Ruto has arrived in Homa Bay County where he is expected to attend a thanksgiving ceremony for Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo.
Ruto, who is in the company of his deputy Rigathi Gachagua and members of the Cabinet, is also expected to launch development projects in the region.
The visit marks the third time the president is visiting Nyanza region since assuming office last year.
His visit also comes in the back of heightened protests across the country over the high cost of living.
