The United States of America (USA) has pledged a $10 million (Sh1.24 billion) to anyone with information that can help lead to the arrest of the mastermind of the DusitD2 Hotel Complex terrorist attack

Twenty-two (22) people died in the attack that occurred in January 2019.

The US says that Mohamoud Abdi Aden is one of the leaders of terrorist group Al-Shabaab.

"Do you have information on Mohamoud Abdi Aden? Submit your tip now. You could receive a reward of up to $10 million (Sh1.24 billion)," said the United States in a public poster.

Those with information on Aden's whereabouts have been asked to send the details to Kenyan contact (+254) 718 712 366 or a Somalia contact (+252) 684 343 308.

The US, through the country's Ambassador to Kenya Meg Whitman, made the announcement on Thursday, January 12, 2023 via a press conference at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Headquarters on Kiambu Road, Nairobi, Kenya.
