Labour Cabinet Secretary nominee Florence Bore has said that her net worth is Sh200 million.

The former Kericho Woman Representative said she has a home and a tea farm in Kericho County valued at Sh60 million. Her Nairobi home, she said, is worth Sh25 million.

Her parcels of land in Kajiado and Kericho counties, vehicles and shares in SACCOs brought her total net worth to the said-Sh200 million.

Bore, a mother of three, holds a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Moi University.

She also has a Diploma in Education from the Kagumo Teachers' Training College in Murang'a County.

She worked as a teacher at Kericho Day Secondary School for 20 years. She also taught at Toror Girls' High School and Kericho Tea Boys' High School.

She resigned from teaching in 2012 to run for Kericho Woman Representative seat in the March 4, 2013 General Election.

She was, however, unsuccessful in her bid, and was thereafter absorbed in the County Government of Bomet in 2014 as the Director of Education (Vocational Training).

Bore was, thereafter, appointed as the Board Member of the Geothermal Development Company in charge of the Human Resource and Audit Committee.

In 2017, she resigned from the Geothermal Development Company to run for the Kericho Woman Representative seat, which she bagged.

Bore said she's passionate about growing the savings culture among Kenyans, stating that she hopes by the end of five years, Kenyans would be able to save more for rainy days and retirement.

The CS nominee said she'll support President William Ruto's quest for an upward review of funds contributed to the NSSF.
