Nairobi governor Johnson Sakaja has made a final call to nightclub owners who operate in estates within the county.

In a brief statement on his Twitter page on Sunday, November 27, Sakaja said; "Last call. No nightclubs in residential areas."

Accompanying the statement was a series of photos showing armed police officers receiving instructions during a parade at the Central Business District (CBD).

On Friday, Sakaja revoked licences for nightclubs and wines and spirits joints operating in residential areas to curb noise pollution.

In the circular, the governor said that only entertainment joints within the Central Business District (CBD) would be allowed to renew their licences.
