Rainfall above 70 mm is expected in some parts of Nyandarua, Laikipia, Marakwet, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, West Pokot and Samburu Counties.
According to Kenya Meteorological department, the forecast released running from July 21 to July 27 shows that light rainfall between 10-50 mm will be experienced in some parts of Kericho, Nakuru, Kakamega, Kisii, Nyamira, Bomet, Kisumu, Busia, Trans Nzoia, Bungoma, Nandi, Meru, Nyeri, Kirinyaga & Turkana Counties.
However, Nairobi County together with other thirteen counties will continue to remain dry.
“The other parts of the counties especially for Nairobi, Machakos, Kajiado, Narok, Makueni, Embu, Garissa, Tana River, Wajir, Isiolo, Taita Taveta, Mandera, Marsabit, and Coastal Counties are expected to remain relatively dry,” the weather agency said.
In addition, the weatherman has warned of extremely cold days ahead with low daily-mean temperatures of below 15? Celsius. The counties that will experience such include Nairobi, Kiambu, Machakos, Makueni, Uasin Gishu, Kajiado, Narok, and Nakuru.

Nyamira, Bomet, Kericho, Kisii Nandi, Elgeyo-Marakwet, Trans Nzoia, Kirinyaga, Tharaka Nithi, Meru, Nyeri, Nyandarua, Murang’a, Laikipia, Samburu, Bungoma and Taita Taveta counties will also experience low temperatures.
"Sunny intervals expected in the afternoon with few areas around Mt.Kenya and the Aberdares expected to receive showers," the weatherman added.
