The President has urged Kenyans to continue with their daily activities as the Supreme Court prepares to hear a presidential election petition.
During a surprise visit to Kenyatta Market, Uhuru Kenyatta said peaceful coexistence contributes to development.
"The judgement will be made and whatever the outcome you should continue to coexist peacefully. It doesn't matter the outcome, Kenya will still be here. Love one another and live together as brothers," he reiterated.
The Head of State added that no Kenyan should die because of political competition.

"Leave us to sort our issues as leaders. Politics should not make you fight. When this market burns down it will not affect one community but all of you," said Uhuru, who will jet out to Rwanda to attend President Paul Kagame's swearing-in ceremony in the capital Kigali today.
He continued: "I have seen all Kenyans doing business here (Kenyatta Market). In this market there are Kamba, Meru, Luo, Kikuyu and all Kenyan communities. Please continue living together peacefully. Be your brother's keeper."
And Nairobi Governor-elect Mike Mbuvi Sonko, who accompanied him, pledged to deliver on his pre-election promises, saying once sworn in he will reduce licence fees for small-scale traders.
Mr Sonko urged Kibra residents to embark on nation building.
"You should continue with your daily activities as residents of Kibra and traders here at Kenyatta market just as you have been doing before...the general election," he said.
He added that the Government would firmly and decisively deal with any individual out to destroy property.
"Leave us as leaders to tackle our political battles but don't allow any person to incite you into violence. We have seen those who allowed themselves to be incited losing lives while those who instigated them continued enjoying themselves," he said.
Uhuru said he had urged Sonko to ensure he changes the image of Nairobi city by improving service delivery.
"I thank you for voting my friend Sonko. I have asked him to ensure he changes the image of this city. He will sink a bore hole here to ensure constant water services to the traders of this market," he said.
