Nairobi, Kenya:A 46-year-old Congolese man was Friday morning arrested at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi while carrying cocaine of unknown value.
The man had arrived in Nairobi aboard an Ethiopian airline that had originated Kinshasa through Addis. Police say his traveling bag had white substance that had been confirmed to be white cocaine.
Airport CID boss Joseph Ngisa said they are waiting for further tests and weighing to establish the value of the drug.
"The traveling documents show he was to go back through the same route on December 30 and it seems the drugs were destined for Nairobi," said Ngisa.
He added that they are looking for the person(s) who was set to receive the drugs from the suspect.
