Nairobi, Kenya: Police are investigating the source of two pistols loaded with 15 bullets that were found in a ditch on the roadside near Masaba area along Ngong Road, Nairobi.
The two Beretta pistols with 15 bullets were found hidden in a ditch and were discovered by security guards manning the area.
Kilimani police boss Peter Katam said the weapons were discovered Friday morning by the guard who later called police.
“We do not know the owner of the weapons which we believe are illegal but our officers are investigating the issue. One of them was loaded with 8 rounds of ammunition and the other 7 rounds of ammunition,” said Katam.

He said the pistols were wrapped in a paper bag and seemed well hidden with an anticipation of being used later.
“It seems like the person who hid them there was to use them later and was avoiding to be nabbed or detected. We are pursuing the owner,” added the police boss.
He said security has been enhanced in the city.
