Deputy President William Ruto joined other Kenyans in condoling with former assistant minister Charfano Mokku following the death of his mother.
Mr Mokku's mother, Hajia Guyo, died on Sunday at the Isiolo Level Four Hospital where she had been hospitalised for almost a month.
She was buried at Tullu Roba Islamic Cemetery in Isiolo town yesterday.
Leaders from across the political divide flocked to the former assistant minister's home to console him.

Ruto described the deceased as a patriotic Kenyan who loved to help the needy.
Others who sent their messages of condolence to the three-time MP were Isiolo Governor Godana Doyo and Isiolo North MP Joseph Samal.
