Moscow, Russia: Making love to a world famous ballerina might be every man's dream come true - but it landed one Russian Billionaire flat on his back.

Bakhtiyar Salimov ended up bed-ridden after sustaining back injuries from an evening with the former Bolshoi prima ballerina Anastasia Volochkova, according to Russia's daily newswire Life News.

The couple had to call an ambulance out twice but medication given to the 45-year-old Salimov didn't help.

The 38-year-old dancer told Life News: "Bakhtiyar just could not get out of bed.

"We had been for a meal together to celebrate being back together and afterwards we put our feet up on the sofa.

"He didn't have any other exercise that day except for having sex twice.

"Afterwards the pain was so bad from his back that we called the ambulance out twice but the medication they gave him didn't help.

"He can't stand up and is currently confined to his bed."

Stunning Volochkova is one of Russia's most high profile celebrities and has hit the headlines a number of times.

In 2003 she was fired by the prestigious Bolshoi Ballet, reportedly complaining at 106 pounds she was 'too fat' and, at five foot six inches, 'too tall'. They argued that none of her male partners wanted to carry her.

She took the ballet to court for wrongful dismissal, and was eventually awarded around £3,700 in compensation.

And last year she claimed Bolshoi dancers were forced to have sex with wealthy men and the theatre was a “brothel”.

Volochkova alleged that the women faced losing their jobs at the Moscow institution if they objected.

The 236-year-old theatre’s general director Anatoly Iksanov rubbished the allegations, describing the claims as “dirt and ravings”.
