President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga officially launched the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) signature drive on Wednesday at KICC as they target over 4 million signatures from Kenyans.
One million signatures of registered voters are required to back the draft constitutional amendment Bill.
BBI Secretariat Co-Chair Junet Mohamed said the signatures will be collected from today until the end of the month and they will be then taken to the IEBC, after which they will be taken to the County Assemblies, Parliament and finally to the people of Kenya in a referendum.
For those who wish to append their signatures digitally, Junet asked Kenyans to log in to bbisignatures.org to sign.
