Vin Diesel's son 'recruited to play young Dominic Toretto' in next Fast & Furious.

Vin Diesel’s son Vincent Sinclair will reportedly join his father for the ninth instalment of the Fast & Furious franchise. The 53-year-old shares son Vincent with his girlfriend Paloma Jimenez - along with children Hania Riley and Pauline.

Mini Vin will be appearing as the younger version of his dad’s character, Dominic Toretto.

According to TMZ, they actually filmed the scenes of younger Dom in late 2019.

It is unknown how much screentime the youngster will get.

There has already been a flashback to Dom’s younger years in the seventh instalment but the younger version of him was played by Alex McGee.

F9 stars Vin, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris and Tyrese Gibson and will see the gang facing Dominic’s younger brother Jakob - a deadly assassin who is working with their old enemy Cipher.

It was recently confirmed that Fast and Furious 9 has been postponed yet again as the coronavirus continues to spread globally.

Until cinemas are able to reopen safely, there will be uncertainty on many movies’ release dates.

However, Vin confirmed that it will now premiere on June 25 this year in an Instagram post.

Posting a clip of a car escaping an explosion, the star wrote: “Finally!!! Blessed and grateful. #F9 #Fastsaga #Fatherhood”

Co-star Ludacris, real name Chris Bridges, took to the comments to celebrate, commenting: “We Just Gettin Started [sic].”

F9 also stars Jelen Mirren as Magdalene Shaw, Charlize Theron as Cipher, John Cena as Jakob Toretto and Nathalie Emmanuel as Megan Ramsey.

The ninth movie isn’t the only release Universal Studios is delaying, with them announcing that Illumination’s Minions: The Rise of Gru is pushed back to July 1, 2022.
