Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds’ birthday came with a double dose of good news Friday.
Not only did the singer and producer celebrate another year, but he also announced on Twitter that he and his family have recovered from the coronavirus after initially testing positive.
“I feel so blessed to be able to celebrate another birthday. I tested positive for Covid-19, as did my family. It’s an incredibly scary thing to go through my friends. I’m happy to report we have now tested negative and are on our way back to full health,” Edmonds tweeted.
Babyface turned 62 years old and the R&B crooner took to Twitter to thank fans for their birthday messages - but also to reveal that he recently suffered from the coronavirus.
Thankfully, he went on to note that they “have now tested negative and are on our way back to full health.”

Edmonds also announced he’d perform with fellow legendary producer Teddy Riley on Instagram Live April 18.
While Babyface might not be 100 per cent recovered, Instagram Live is now the world’s venue of choice, and you don’t even need to put on shoes or hard pants to wow your audience.
“Teddy!!! Let’s show them what Hip Hop/R&B music really means to the world!,” he wrote. “Light the candles, pour some wine, and don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes.”
Others in the entertainment industry who have confirmed to have been infected by the virus include Hollywood actor Tom Hanks and his wife, actress and singer Rita Wilson, British actor Idris Elba, singer Pink and opera singer Placido Domingo.
