“Roads in Embakasi east are passable because of my hard work."

Earlier this week, Kenyans On Twitter (KOT) shared pictures showing muddy roads Nairobi. Most of the pictures uploaded were claimed to be parts of Embakasi East, whose legislator is Babu Owino.

“I pity the residents of Embakasi East and West. They elected talking shops and now they expect miracles. Pipeline is under Wiper- Mawathe. All the three MPs need brain transplant urgently,” tweeted @chrisrisk.

@BryannKeter, on the other hand, wrote that “Embakasi East is worse man! From Tassia Stage to Tassia Hill academy hiyo njia na watoto wetu wadogo wa shule. Machungu tunayo. Our MP is campaigning somewhere. Bora uhai.”

In a bid to get the message across, some social media users tagged Babu and he decided to respond to the claims. Taking to social media, the former student leader distanced his constituency from the embarrassing photos terming himself as ‘the best MP in Kenya.

“These two roads are in pipeline which is in Embakasi South hence I should be given a break,” he justified himself.

“Roads in Embakasi east are passable because of my hard work. The road between Fedha and Gate B shall be constructed soon. For the doubting Thomas take a Walk in Embakasi East and witness the work of the best MP in Kenya.”

This move caused mixed reactions from Kenyans on Facebook.

An Atom Its our money, the tax that we give that is doing the work, why should we thank ATM for giving us our money?

Hussein Gari Junior Honestly Embakasi East roads are in good condition apart from the Fedha to gate B road that needs filling of the pot-holes.

Lucky Yeswa Do we still have such roads in Kenya? Kuna mtu analala kazini hapo.

Gaailel Eliud Roads in Donholm are pathetic or is donholm in Embakasi South?I will post pics here later in the evening
