Bungoma’s ‘Aliko Dangote’ slaughters seven bulls for voters who rejected him at the ballot

• The election loser treated the villagers to a feast, slaughtering seven bulls for them

A parliamentary loser organised a homecoming party for his constituents to thank them for rejecting him at the ballot.

Moses Nandalwe, nicknamed Aliko Dangote (after the Nigerian business mogul who is Africa’s richest man) contested the Sirisia seat on an ODM ticket but lost to incumbent John Waluke of the Jubilee Party.

The two are sworn political enemies who were involved in a violent altercation at a five-star hotel in Nairobi during Valentine’s Day.

Nandalwe slaughtered seven bulls for the villagers who thronged his home where he landed with two choppers from Wilson Airport. The excited villagers warmly received him. 

The villagers were also treated to early Christmas at his home where sumptuous meals and free drinks were served before entertainment was belted out by musicians Emma Jalamo, Steve Kay and Wabwile wa Musungu.

Nandalwe used the thanksgiving party to inform constituents of his decision to quit politics after they rejected him twice, the first time in 2013 when Waluke still won, but on an ODM ticket.

Bungoma County Woman Rep Catherine Wambilianga (Ford Kenya) however implored Nandalwe not to throw in the towel since he is a “young man with a bright future.”
