It appears that the years 2010, 2016 and 2017 have been jinxed for Rumba cum Tcha Tcho maestro Koffi Olomide going by all circumstances.
Hardly a few months after his deportation from Kenya over assault case and putting the country in bad light to being jailed for a few days in DRC for tarnishing his country’s image among other shenanigans, the 61 year-old artist was reportedly killed on January 7 2017.
News of his death spread like bushfire on social media shocking most of his fans.
However, speaking to this writer on phone from Kinshasa upon his arrival from a concert in Cameroon, he said, “contrary to reports that I am dead I once again want to assure my fans that I am alive and kicking.
Although death is inevitable, it is bad joke to use it on anyone who is alive. Nevertheless, I want to thank my fans the world over for their concern and continuous support. For me this is the beginning of bigger and better things to come," he concluded.
