Illicit alcohol brewers in the city are using ‘treated’ panties to lure more customers.
The Nairobian has learnt that these brewers seek the services of witchdoctors who give them paraphernalia to ‘spice up’ their alcohol.
This, they are told, is a potent charm to attract more customers.
During a recent crackdown, Kariobangi area chief Nyabuto Omache said they were shocked to discover what these brewers use.
“We discovered used condoms, panties, human hair and used diapers inside a drum where the illicit brew was being prepared. We understand the stuff is supposed to make a potion whose charm can lure customers,” he said.

Omache said they are hunting the cunning witchdoctors and brewers since they are putting the lives of residents in danger.
Kariobangi OCS John Nunda said they have started a manhunt for the culprits.
“Those who drink this kind of brew risk losing their lives. We will arrest them,” he warned.
