Her combination of beauty and brains has made reigning Miss Kenya, Idah Nguma represent the country across global platforms.
Recently, she pledged her support to the Kenyan book reading culture, together with Auma Obama, who is StoryMoja’s patron.
“Most of us know her as the sister to Barack Obama. But there is more to Auma Obama who is changing our children’s lives by providing them with the most powerful tool, knowledge,” Idah said.
The business administration graduate revealed she intends to write books that would tell the African story to the world.
“I am on board to help her write a story for these kids.”
Besides winning the ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ title for her cause as the cleft-lip ambassador, it seems that Idah is willing to put in more work towards an empowered generation.
