After arriving in London last Thursday to join her fellow finalists, Idah Nguma, the reigning Miss World Kenya, is reported to be in a jovial mood, optimistic that she will have a good time in London where the Miss World beauty pageant is taking place.
The Kenyan beauty was seen off in a colourful ceremony that unlike in the previous years saw high-profile guests escort her to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where traditional dancers entertained her before the departure.
Contestants from more than 120 countries started arriving in London last week ahead of the next month’s finals. The beauty, who won the Miss Honduras crown in April, had been due to fly to London last Wednesday, to compete in the Miss World pageant.
