When Hollywood stars visit Lupita Nyong’o’s homeland, it is expected they will mingle with our local thespian community.
However, this was not the case when Michael Jai White, Dolph Lundgren, Tony Jaa and Ron Perlman were hosted at a red carpet event at Villa Rosa Kempinski on October 20.
The actors, who appeared tired, did not mingle with their Kenyan counterparts save for a few selfies with fans and interviews.
Some of the Kenyan actors could not hide their disappointment.

“I expected something more organised, where we could get to mingle with the actors. However, it was a great night for me to mingle with my colleagues,” actor Abel Amunga told Heads Up.
The actors who have starred in a new flick, Skin Trade, an upcoming Thai-Canadian action-thriller directed by Ekachai Uekrongtham, were in Kenya as part of their global tour.
They will be visiting all the Kempinski hotels in the world.
