Westlands, Nairobi’s entertainment red district went dead on Saturday night as fun lovers opted to stay indoors in fear of their lives following Saturday’s Westgate Mall terror attack.
Most of the usually busy nightspots remained closed on Saturday night as streets remained empty.
Several events that had been planned to take place in several entertainment spots were cancelled.

However, the shock event did not seem to affect the much-anticipated Safaricom 7s and the Octobefest events where leading musicians thrilled thousands of fans.
Sauti Sol, P Unit and Elani were among the groups that thrilled scores of music lovers during the Octobefest party, that went on until the wee hours of Sunday morning. Size 8, Gloria Muliro, Octopizzo, Daddy Owen, Kaytrixx and Eric Omondi also joined the top groups during the Safaricom 7s concert.
