Eight candidates out of 14 who applied have been shortlisted for interviews for the position of vice-chancellor of The University of Nairobi. Public Service Commission has scheduled the interviews for December 18, 2019.
Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof Isaac Mbeche is among the eight shortlisted candidates. Others shortlisted are Prof Benard Kimani Njoroge, Prof Solomon Igosangwa Shibairo, Prof Patricia Kameri Mbote, Prof Madara Ogot, Prof Kareithi Ruth Wanjiru Nduati, Prof Stephen Kiama Gitahi, and Prof Elijah Omwenga.
“Shortlisted candidates are invited for interviews at the CEO’s Boardroom, Commission House, along Harambee Avenue, Nairobi,” reads a notice from the Commission, further asking them to show up with clearance from the Helb, DCI, EACC and CRB.
“Members of the Public with any credible information of interest the candidates can mail it to uon2019@publicservice.go.ke before December 18, 2019. Hand-delivered ones to be taken to Room 404, New Commission Building, 4th Floor, Commission House, Harambee Avenue,” reads the notice by the Chief Executive Office of the Public Service Commission(PSC).
Those who did not make it include Prof Duke Omondi Otara, Prof Maurice Amutabi, Prof Isaiah Omolo Ndiege, Prof Julius Onyango Ochuodho, Prof Collins Ogutu Miruka, and Prof Shitanda Douglas.
