Makueni, Kenya: Six people were killed and 26 injured in Kanga area, near Mtito Andei along the Mombasa Highway after a bus collided with a lorry.
Traffic commandant Samuel Kimaru said 26 passengers on board the bus that was headed for Nairobi were rushed to Voi district hospital with multiple injuries.
He said the accident occurred around 1am Tuesday morning.
In another incident, a mother, her two children and a motor bike rider died after they were knocked down by a speeding vehicle near Kitui Town.

Kimaru said the accident happened on Monday night.
The police boss added that a driver and his turn boy died on Tuesday morning in an accident involving a fuel tanker in Chogoria, Meru.
The lorry is said to have overturned killing the two.
Kimaru has urged for caution amongst motorists to avoid such deaths which he blamed on fatigue.
