A man in Lunga Lunga area was recently fined to pay Sh 500 or serve two weeks imprisonment should he default on the payment.
Eugine Mwangi was convicted on his plea of guilty after he admitted creating a disturbance by snatching people's alcohol and gulping the booze before damaging glasses..
The court heard that the convict had, in November last year, snatched another man's drink while having a good time with his lover before running away with it while gulping it.
He is said to have been doing that for a while before the management under Edmon Ongoya blacklisted him from accessing the club because his behavior was driving clients away with many alluding that they were not safe with their drinks.
On March 3, Mwangi, in the company of his other friends, went to the club. They were having a party. But the management was not amused by his misconduct as he started shouting while accusing Ongoya that he was always chasing him away from the club yet he was just like any other client.
He mocked the management, claiming that he was there to stay and would go nowhere. The security then bundled him outside where he started yelling and throwing stones at the club.
In the event, he broke so many glasses before disappearing. A report was made at the nearest police station, and he was arrested two weeks later from his hideout.
Having admitted the charge of malicious damage, the court sentenced him.
Meanwhile, in Umoja Two area within Nairobi County, a woman was sentenced to a one week imprisonment for assaulting her husband.

Akinyi was arraigned before Makadara Senior Resident Magistrate Praxdie Atieno Aduke, where she admitted to assaulting Mwenje on diverse dates between March 26 and 27 at their Umoja house.
