Michael Macharia alias DJ Brownskin has denied charges of failing to stop his deceased wife's suicide.

Appearing before Chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina at the Milimani Law Courts on Monday morning, Macharia pleaded not guilty to charges of failing to stop the mother of his kids from taking poison.

As a result, court has ordered his remand for three more days pending bail determination.

The charge sheet states that in July last year, the Disc Jockey advised Sharon Njeri (his wife) to kill herself by taking poison.

The court has also been told that the incident happened at Kariobang South.

The popular DJ has also been charged with negligence by failing to deter the deceased from killing herself by suicide.

He is also accused of tampering with evidence related to the offense by removing sim card from the phone he used to record the incident.

Macharia will be back in court on Thursday, June 15.

A week ago, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives apprehended DJ Brown Skin after weeks of evading authorities following his wife's tragic demise.

The authorities had summoned DJ Brown Skin to provide a statement regarding the circumstances surrounding his wife's death.

Sharon Njeri, 33, tragically ingested poison while the DJ recorded the incident on a device on the night of July 29 last year.
