A man was tackled Sunday in Njoro, Nakuru County, by security officers guarding Kenya Kwanza Alliance leader William Ruto after he breached their security barrier seeking an audience with the president-elect.
Photos by The Standard captured moments after the unidentified man was wrestled to the ground and unceremoniously marched out of the dais where Ruto and a host of Kenya Kwanza leaders were seated during an interdenominational prayer service at Lamudiarc High School Grounds.
The man, however, succeeded in handing Ruto a file, whose contents the president-elect would later be seen reading after the tussle died down.
Ruto was accompanied by, among others, Deputy President-elect Rigathi Gachagua, Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi and Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika.
