Senator Zipporah Kittony has lauded the leadership Maendeleo ya Wanawake Organization for leading them to their 70th anniversary as a bastion of women development.

Speaking during a retreat for the Board members of the MYWO drawn from across the country.

"The organisation has received support from the government ministry of gender under CS Margaret Kobia," she noted.

Kittony who is also the patron of the organisation said the women had made a significant contribution to the country over the years.

"When I remember the patron of MYWO she must have seen something special in the potential of women and as chairladies carry yourselves with dignity doing the right thing," she said.

She said the women must remember to be their sister's keeper and be the first to correct and advise each other.

"Remember what is good for the society and carry yourself with dignity and decorum be firm in your decisions, " she advised.

She observed the organisation had a bright future ahead in national development and women Empowerment.

The MYWO national chairperson Rahab Muiu alongside Gender CS lauded the contribution of Senator Kittony.
