Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has called for massive support of the Building Bridges Initiative where he asked Central Kenya residents to support the amendments.
Speaking during a KANU Party BBI sensitisation Forum at a hotel in Kieni Constituency, Senator Moi, also the party Chairperson, said the region would benefit from the BBI proposals.
“If you read the BBI document, Central Kenya is the biggest beneficiary of the amendments with the increased number of constituencies,” he said.
The Senator who also distributed copies of the BBI document to the residents in attendance at the forum, said Kenyans should read the document and support the BBI.
“Read the BBI and identify the positive gains for the people in Nyeri and adopt them,” Senator Moi said.
He said, the increased resources for devolution would benefit the counties and improve development.
“BBI will support the youth because, once Nyeri County gets 13 Billion in allocation, 30 percent will be for youths to deliver goods and services,” he stated.
He was accompanied by Nyeri Senator Ephraim Maina, MPs Gichuki Mugambi, (Othaya) Kanini Kega (Kieni) Starehe Charles Njagua and Baringo County MP, Gladwell Cheruiyot.
