The
government has announced temporary closure for huduma centres in Nairobi to
allow fumigation.
Through a
notice on Tuesday, July 14, the huduma Kenya secretariat stated that the move
is due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the county.
“Taking into account the rising number of COVID-19 cases in Nairobi in the past week and the high number of customer traffic we are experiencing, we will be temporarily closing Nairobi Huduma centres for fumigation,” read part of the notice.
The notice
also stated that Huduma centre at GPO would be the first to undergo the
fumigation staring today.

This month,
the government informed Kenyans that the Huduma centres would be open to
provide services such as Certificate of good conduct, Issuance of duplicate ID
cards, Issuance of Birth certificates, and KRA services and Issuance of police
Abstract.
Kenyans who
wish to use the Huduma services were advised to look out for the closing dates
of the other centers in Nairobi through their official social media platforms.
