A car that
was reportedly ferrying bhang burst into flames after it collided with a fuel
tanker. The accident occurred along Mombasa Road in Mtito Andei, Makueni County
Monday evening.
The driver
reportedly suffered minor injuries and was taken to Mtito Andei Health facility.
The Police
Sub-County Commander for Kibwezi Ben Changulo, while confirming the incident,
said that the car was ferrying bhang of unknown value.
The car
lost control before hitting a fuel tanker, which was traveling in the opposite
direction.
"The
driver of the motor vehicle KCA 783R James Ochieng Ombok sustained fractures on
both legs and cuts on the head and was rescued before the vehicle burst into
flames and burned into a shell. He was rushed to Mtito Andei Health centre for
treatment," reported Mr. Changulo.

Due to the
hard impact of the initial collision, the car also hit another truck. Police
towed the three vehicles to Mtito Andei Police Station.
The law
enforcers also gathered together some bhang, which was not burnt and planned to
use it as an exhibit in court against the driver's car.
