Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga on Monday, February 10, 2020, paid his last respect to the late Former President Daniel Moi.
Odinga arrived at the Speaker’s walk in parliament twenty minutes past two o’clock where the late former president’s body lay.
Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) communication director Philip Etale earlier, rubbished claims that former Prime Minister Raila Odinga would not pay his last respects to former President Daniel Moi.
Through his Twitter account, Etale stated that the former Prime Minister was to land in the country early enough to mourn the former President.

“For those who have been asking questions, Raila Odinga will be back in town early enough today to mourn President Daniel Arap Moi” posted Etale.
He further stated that Raila will be present at Nyayo Stadium and at the former President’s home in Kabarak.
“He will view the body which is lying in state at the Speaker's walk in Parliament before close of business. He will be at Nyayo Stadium & Kabarak” added Etale.
The head of Public Service Joseph Kinywa on February 6, 2020, said that Moi would be buried on Wednesday 12 February at his home in Kabarak.
On the same day, he announced the days that the former President’s body would be made available for the public to view.
“The body of President Moi shall lie in Parliament Saturday to Monday. Public viewing at Parliament will be done on Saturday, Sunday & Monday between 8 AM – 5 PM. The casket will leave the funeral home at 8.05 AM,” said Kinyua.
