A high school teacher was injured after he was attacked by a student who had been summoned over indiscipline.
The teacher sustained face injuries and cuts on his hands when the student at Kapkenyeloi Secondary School in Mosop attacked him with two broken bottles.
The teacher is said to have been part of a team listening to a disciplinary case involving the student at the school's principal’s office on Friday when he was attacked.
The student is said to have missed school for a week before he was sent home to report back with his parents.
“The injured teacher was handling the matter,” said William Mibey, the principal.

According to Mr Mibey, the student turned hostile while being questioned.
Kabiyet Police officers said the teacher and the student reported the matter and were separately issued with P3 forms.
“The student claimed he was being beaten in front of his parents,” said a senior officer.
