Anti-graft investigators have tracked how money for the controversial Sh588million roads tender in Kiambu was paid out in suspect deals.
According to documents seen by The Standard, the Kiambu County Government tender evaluation committee floated bids for the upgrading of roads to bitumen standards in Thika, Limuru, Gatundu North, Juja and Ruiru sub-counties.
One company, M/S Testimony Enterprises Limited, won the Sh 588 million tender.
The company is then said to have wired part of the money to two other companies associated with Governor Ferdinard Waititu.

In a graph showing the money trail, an initial payment of Sh221million was paid to M/S Testimony Enterprises Limited, whose directors are Charles Chege and Betty Wangeci.
The company also received an extra Sh20 million from the county, making the total pay stand at Sh241 million
From this amount, Sh6 million was paid to Lake Naivasha resort, which has been bought by the Bienvenue hotel whose directors are Mr Waititu and his wife Susan Ndungu.
According to the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission, M/S Testimony Enterprises further made questionable transactions of Sh89.7 million.
On top of that, Sh134 million was wired to Mr Chege as an individual and not as a director of M/S Testimony Enterprises Limited, while Sh5.2 million was allegedly transferred again to Bienevenue hotel.
At the same time, Sh8.4 million was transferred to Saika Limited, whose directors are Waititu and his daughter Monica Njeri Ndungu
