A modern training and vocational college has been launched at Archers Post in Samburu East Sub County to enable youth acquire skills in engineering, agriculture, and air conditioning system for motor vehicles, abattoirs, hotels and lodges, fridges among other fields.

Addressing journalists outside the college, Principal Secretary of Vocational and Technical Training Kevit Desai said learners would be armed with relevant skills to help drive President Uhuru Kenyatta's Big Four agenda in manufacturing, universal health care, food security.

Samburu Deputy Governor Julius Leseeto pledged the county government's support to TVETs.

 The locals said the 1000 trainees that will enroll at the institution will make it possible for their children who will graduate in different areas get employment.
