A board member of a key state parastatal is being haunted by her past dealings. The director at the agency that is under the Ministry of Energy is being accused of conning a trader Sh3 million.

This is after she told him that she had clinched a Sh130 million tender in one of the Rift Valley Counties.

To gain trust of the businessman, the lady purported to have changed list of directors of her firm to take interest of the trader.

However, after receiving the cash, the director who unsuccessfully vied for a Parliamentary seat, went under and stopped picking calls. The county later sent a letter of regret for the tender.

The contractor has since reported the case to DCI and it is only a matter of time the director is summoned.

A first term MP appears to have deserted his key political associate- a former elected leader who is currently in trouble with the law over corruption related allegations - for good.

The legislator was closely linked to the politician when he was in power and the duo were inseparable, and he regarded him as his mentor and God-father.

In the run-up to the last election, the embattled politician is said to have heavily bank-rolled the MPs campaign.

However, since the man’s woes with the law escalated after he was kicked out of office, the MP has been nowhere to be seen by his side.
