A 45-year-old man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for rape.
David Shikoli had been accused of raping a 25-year-old woman on December 23, 2017.
He was said to have committed the act together with an accomplice that was not before the court. The rape occurred at Kambi Miwa village in Eldoret West.
The prosecution called six witnesses. The victim testified that on the day of the ordeal, Shikolo and the other man waylaid her while she was going to a shop.
They grabbed her and raped her repeatedly. In his defence, Shikolo said he was a victim of vengeance.
