Several buffaloes have died at the Lake Nakuru National Park following an anthrax outbreak.
Sources who spoke to the Standard revealed that more than ten buffaloes are reported to have died as a result of the outbreak.
Senior officials at the park did not however confirm or deny the reports saying that KWS corporate communications were best to disseminate the information.
"We cannot deny or confirm the reports at the moment but you can reach out to the KWS corporate communications," Collins Ochieng' KWS Deputy Warden at the park said.
He also did not confirm the reports that KWS had dispatched veterinary officers to the scene.

KWS Head of Corporate Communication Paul Gathitu did not respond to calls or reply to messages when contacted.
Nakuru County Chief officer of Livestock, Enos Amuyunzu has confirmed an outbreak of anthrax at the park, but could not give the numbers.
