Some members of the public with medical covers have devised new ways of defrauding health insurance providers.
Sources have told The Grapevine that individuals fake sickness and go to hospitals with their insurance cards.
After they are given drugs, they take them to some city chemists where they are purchased for half the price.

On Sunday, one customer took to social media and exposed the scam after she purchased drugs from a Nairobi chemist that bore a sticker of a popular city hospital, complete with the name of the patient.
