The Kilifi County Director of Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) has died.
James Angore, 64, was found by colleagues leaning on his office’s toilet wall and groaning. They rushed him to nearby healthy facilities.
He pronounced dead at Mwananchi Nursing Home in Kilifi town.
Confirming the death his brother Peter Angore said the late James died on Thursday.
“I am with deep sorrow that we announce his sudden death. He left home in the morning and went for work despite him having some flu in the last one week,” said Peter.

“He was coughing and losing breath and was frequently panting but he was under medication”.
Peter added that his brother had been of good health and was recently discontinued on some medicine for the side effects noticed on him.
James Angore, a retired teacher, was contracted to head the county ECD docket in 2014.
Kilifi County Executive Officer of Education and ICT Professor Gabriel Katana described him as a dedicated hard worker who was passionate about education.
“He has over 30 years of experience in early childhood education. James went out of his way to look for ways to improve the system and provide the best education for our children,” he said
His body has since been moved to Star Mortuary in Malindi. He lives behind 8 children and four grandchildren.
