Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed might be strategizing to join politics come 2022.
This is seen in her hyped homecoming party which has saturated the Kakamega County and its environs. This is in contrast to when she was appointed CS for Foreign Affairs where no such homecoming party was held for the same.
Being the last term for Governor Oparanya on the seat, the CS might be eyeing it as it seems ‘open’ come 2022. However, she might face stiff competition for the gubernatorial male-dominated race which includes the former Kakamega Senator Dr. Bonny Khalwale.
The CS if her entry into politics is something to go by, might utilize her strengths and her track record and influence to clinch the seat.
It’s now a wait and see moment for the influential CS.
