As anxiety over who will make it to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s new Cabinet – when he unveils the final list – hits a fever pitch, interest groups are holding onto their breath even as they try to press the right buttons to ensure their “men and women” are included.
One such interest group is from Mt Kenya. It is understood that some members of the group were shocked that Uhuru didn’t retain the vocal CS when he named his partial Cabinet.
Grapevine has been reliably informed that the members were so certain that Uhuru would retain the vocal CS, an ardent supporter of the Jubilee administration.
But they were thrown off balance when the Head of State last Friday did not retain the CS.
And as the country waits for the final list, the members are left with no option but to pray that Uhuru reconsiders reappointing their choice to the same docket.
