As the New Year was ushered in and many went out to make merry and have fun, a young girl and her brother chose to end their celebration on a merry-go-round swing.
At the middle of the swinging, the chains attached to one of the chairs cut off, exposing a young girl and her brother to death.
She quickly held one arm of the metallic chairs and in a split of second held the loose chain. People shouted as the girl and her brother looked at death straight into the eye.

The brother thus held tightly unto the sister for more than five minutes as the organizers of the swing didn't know exactly what to do to save their 'hanging' lives.
It was however switched off and reduced speed before they were saved. A female who was part of the team walked them to Kisumu county referral hospital for checkup.
