Traffic police find new victims to extort

A section of city traffic police officers appears to have devised a new trick to ensure they mint enough money during this festive season. 

The cops Grapevine has established are now targeting non-black drivers in their crack-downs for some quick bucks, after being accused of traffic offenses that do not exist.

On Sunday, at the Haille-Selassie- Uhuru Highway Round-About, tens of motorists of Indian, European and Chinese descent, some with their families on board were flagged down.

One of the victims told Grapevine that after haggling for over 20 minutes, he was left off the hook after parting with kitu kidogo. Over to you CS Fred Matiang’i and IG Joseph Boinett!
