A land ownership dispute between Kiambu Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) and alleged grabbers flared up again with students staging another wave of protests.
The students vowed to be holding similar protests every Thursday until the land that they claim was grabbed was reverted back to the institute.
In July, the students staged a similar demonstration after reports indicated the institute may have lost land totaling to more than 200 acres.
In July, KIST’s Board of Management Chairman Kamau Kariu told journalists they were following up on the matter.
The institute, in Kiambu town, was founded by President Jomo Kenyatta in 1971.
