More than 100 boys at Siwot Mixed Secondary School in Bomet East are likely to spend the night in the cold following a fire that has gutted down their timber made dormitory.
Bomet OCPD Samson Rukunga said the fire started shortly after 8.30pm and the cause was yet to be established.
He said all students are safe as they were in class for evening studies when the fire started.
Police and members of the public have pitched tent at the school trying to put out the fire.
Daniel Korgoren, a community leader said their attempts to salvage student’s belongings are futile.
