Fire has razed an office at Mumias Sugar Company, disrupting operations at the sugar miller.
The late Sunday evening fire was as a result of electrical fault, according to the company Managing Director Nashon Aseka.
He lauded fire fighters from the company, Kakamega and Busia counties for containing the fire before it could spread to other parts.
Mumias OCPD Peter Katam confirmed the incident, saying employees of a local college occupying a section of the premises were burning litter when the fire spread fast into the building.
