There was drama during an event where Bungoma County Governor elect Wycliffe Wangamati gave his acceptance speech on Friday as the wife of his deputy ended up being dragged out of the venue on acting in protest saying she had been left out in the proceeds of the ceremony.
Mrs Hellen Nangekhe toiled to find her way through to the dais where her husband, Ngome Kibanani now deputy governor elect was introducing members of his family but she could not break the barrier manned by well-fed guards.

The incoming deputy governor, Mr Kibanani, only introduced their daughter and behaved as if Nangekhe was nowhere on his mind making her break in to screaming that prompted the guards to escort her out of the Kibabii University hall.

Nangekhe sought the Bungoma County Women representative’s seat on a Maendeleo Chap Chap party ticket and lost in the recently concluded general elections and refutes claims they separated.
She said her husband had invited her to the occasion but it was still unclear why he had chosen to put her in the dark only to recognise their daughter.
She has accused the security men attached to her husband and those of Mr Wangamati of mishandling her as such manhandling of a woman amounts to assault in public.
On his side, Wangamati who will take over from Ken Lusaka, during the event introduced his wife and children and smoothly moved to give his acceptance speech.
Wangamati and Kibanani will be sworn in as governor and deputy governor respectively at Masinde Muliro stadium on Tuesday.
