The Chairperson of the Kenya National Commission for Human Rights (KNCHR) Kagwiria Mbogori has called on politicians to respect the independence of the Judiciary.
Mbogori said the independence of the Judiciary was important especially when the country is gearing for the General Elections.
Mbogori said that politicians have no right to dictate to the Judiciary how it should carry out its work.
''We are headed to the General Election where the Judiciary is expected to handle disputes that may occur, it would not be fair for the independent arm of government to appear to be dancing to the whims of politicians from either sides of the political divide," Mbogori said.
